Virginia Lee Smith Thomas, beloved daughter of the late William and Annie Smith departed this life February 11, 2009 at Clara Mass Hospital in Bellevile, N.J. She was baptized and joined the St. John's Episcopal Church in Forksville, Virginia.  She attended M.M. Booker Elementary School and graduated from East End High School, South Hill, Virginia.  She attended St. Paul's College and later moved to Richmond and attended Beauty School.

Virginia loved basketball and played on the East End High School team.  Virginia mostly enjoyed reading her Bible.  You could find her  sitting quietly in a room reading God's Word.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Ervin and Irwin Thomas (twins).  Sisters, Ada Walker, Lillie Mitchell, and Annie Johnson.  Brothers, Joseph Smith, and Ernest Alexander, Sister-in-law, Jean W. Alexander. Brother-in-law, Thomas Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
