Lawrence Leon Thomas, son of the late Clarence W. and Harriet H. Thomas was born on February 8, 1946 and departed this life on July 3, 1970. He was the baby boy in a family of ten children. He is fondly remembered by his five surviving sisters, Barbara Thomas Reese, Doris Thomas Wilson, Vivian Thomas Thompson, Jean Thomas Shipman, and Robbie Thomas Rogers.
