Jean Thomas Shipman

Although I lost my husband in 2002, I am enjoying retirement life - active in church; NAACP; traveling; Democratic Party; Senior Center; activities in my subdivision; and, of course, loving every moment of being a grandmom and great grandmom.

I loved every moment of high school. Although Basketball was my life then, Academics also played a large part. I had great high school pals who are still some of my closest friends (after 48 years) and 3 still keep in close touch: Gloria White Thomas; Inez Valentine Gregory and Doreatha Bracey Midder. Of course, we still miss our pal, Gladys Boyd ("Butterball"). We had the best of times. What a journey!!!!!!
